Settlements
Every EFTPOS terminal needs to Settle once per day.This is an automatic settlement. It occurs at the same time each day automatically and captures or “batches” all of those transactions together so that they can be funded directly to the merchants bank account, the Next Business Day.
Key Considerations
- A settlement is performed automatically – the merchant does not have to do anything
- 8.20pm is the latest settlement time on Veriphone terminal – for next Business Day Funding
- 8.45pm is the latest settlement time for Ingenico terminal – for next Business Day Funding
- Next Business Day means transactions from Monday are funded on Tuesday.
- Settlements on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are funded on Mondays
